Our independent living community at Brooks Place has the best of all worlds: the safety of a managed, secure location; the social and entertainment options that come with living near a group of like-minded seniors; and the quality of life that a first class senior community provides. Our independent living residents have the freedom that they want, engage in the planned activities that they want and connect with the social groups they want.

Independent living at Brooks Place is in our cottages, which are purchased by the homeowners who are responsible for the taxes and insurance and they hold the deed/title to the property. Our senior residents enjoy the active, welcoming atmosphere of a retirement community along with the freedom and independence to enjoy retirement as they choose. When the cottage is no longer needed, the cottage is sold back to Brooks Place and our residents have priority move-in options when assisted living becomes necessary. The cottage owner of the estate will receive 90% of the basic purchase price if returned within the first year, 80% if returned within 2-5 years and 75% if returned 5+ years.

Our assisted living program is tailored to fit our residents and their needs. We work with each of our assisted living residents, understanding their needs and crafting together a plan that fits their situation. We constantly monitor the needs of our assisted living residents, adjusting daily plans as needed. Our goal is to provide our assisted living residents with an individualized experience, making them feel like they have a partner with us.
